CM Dhami Commends National Unity and Military Strength

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the courage and unity of the Indian people and the Armed Forces for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. Speaking at the launch of the ‘Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra’ in Dehradun, he emphasized the nation’s support for the Indian Army and PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.

“Our soldiers, with courage and clear strategy, destroyed nine terror camps supported by Pakistan. The people of India stood strongly with the Army,” said CM Dhami.

Tiranga Yatra to Spread Awareness and Patriotism

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the Tiranga Yatra nationwide to honor the bravery of Indian soldiers and to inform the public about the impact of Operation Sindoor. The yatra began on May 13 and will continue until May 23.

Operation Sindoor: India’s Decisive Response to Terror

On May 7, India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. The operation targeted terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists from groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen—all of which are designated terrorist organizations by the Indian government and international bodies such as the UN and US.

Cross-Border Conflict and Ceasefire

Following India’s strikes, Pakistan responded with cross-border shelling and drone attacks along the Line of Control and J&K. In retaliation, Indian forces targeted 11 Pakistani military sites, damaging radar systems, airfields, and communication networks.

By May 10, both countries reached an understanding to cease hostilities.

Leadership and Gratitude

CM Dhami credited PM Narendra Modi for his firm leadership and policy direction.

“I salute the Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, and all our brave soldiers. PM Modi’s leadership made this counter-terror action successful,” Dhami said during the yatra.
