He called the order a victory for the rule of law and a strong reply to baseless political claims.

Speaking to reporters, Bhatia said the court directed Congress and AAP to remove defamatory posts from their official social media accounts.

Case That Shook Uttarakhand

Earlier, Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old resort receptionist, was found dead in a canal in September 2022.

Investigations revealed she was allegedly pressured to provide sexual favours at a resort run by Pulkit Arya, the son of a former BJP leader.

Later, a trial court convicted Pulkit Arya and two others. All three were sentenced to life imprisonment.
